It started with a cousin's tea stall.
In 2024, one of our co-founders watched his cousin spend an entire Sunday flipping through a stained notebook trying to figure out who owed him what. The tea stall was packed every morning — but at the end of every month, hours disappeared into lost pages, smeared digits, and customers who "swore I paid".
The obvious answer — "use an app" — turned out to be hilariously wrong. Every tool on the market was either:
- Built for big offices, requiring a setup call
- Made by international vendors that charged in USD
- Beautiful but English-only, breaking down the second wifi did
So we built something different. Built for the shop owner who's also the cashier, the accountant, and the WhatsApp customer-service team. Built to help that business grow — not to give it more software to fight. Easy Khata is what we wish our cousin had had three years ago.
